Star of morning, star of radiance,
He who was the mightiest one
Of angels,
Lucifer, bringing light in dark.
He who soared so high
Fell so low
Pride was his sin.
Pride led him to his downfall.
And he was overwhelmed and punished,
And striken down by the hand of God,
From the most pure peak of heaven
To the deepest depth of hell.
For into darkness fell he down
To the deepest depth of hell.
He was known as Satan on the earth
And he was intimidating
People fought him with crucifix and
prayer
Step back, evil spirit, were they
saying.
But soon his name'd been forgotten
And he sank into oblivion.
Who believes in him now?
He's a fable.
Who fears him nowadays?
He's unpunished.
